I’m an engineering manager at Cisco, where I lead full-stack software development teams focused on intelligent wireless services and AI-driven application and data analytics.

My writing covers what I spend my time thinking about: building AI systems that hold up in production, leading engineering teams through the ambiguity of doing that at scale, making deliberate decisions with money, and running.

What I write about:

  • Agentic AI architectures — what works in production, what doesn’t, and why
  • Engineering leadership — managing high-output teams in an AI-augmented world
  • Investing — index funds, equities, and building toward financial independence
  • Running — training, races, and what the sport teaches about consistency

I’m based in the Greater Seattle area. Outside of work I run (up to half marathon distance), play guitar, and follow way too many sports.
